Our tree locations offer a remarkable variety of birds from distinct environments. Each birdwatching experience is guided by an ornithologist and includes a local bird book, binoculars, and a spotting scope for a tailored and enriching adventure.

Condor and Scavenger Bird Watching: Spend a full day exploring the Alto Río Corintos in Valle 16 de Octubre (near Trevelin) to observe majestic condors and scavenger birds like hawks and eagles. Depending on the season, visit nearby lagoons to spot aquatic species such as ducks, flamingos, and wild geese.

Bird Biodiversity Exploration near Rio Pico: Enjoy birdwatching in diverse habitats. Close to the camp, spot species like ducks, geese, and woodpeckers, including the fascinating Thorn-tailed Rayadito. In Río Pico, visit Lago Tres to observe wetland birds like ibises and lapwings.

Condor and Eagle Watching: Take a scenic 20-kilometer drive along Route 15, where you can spot majestic eagles and condors in various sections of the road. The area offers incredible opportunities for birdwatching, with these magnificent birds soaring through the skies.
Giant Woodpecker Observation: Venture into lenga forests located over 1,000 meters above sea level to observe the impressive giant woodpeckers. Access the site via local roads (approximately 15 kilometers from the lodge), which are suitable for 4x4 vehicles or horseback riding (please note, during certain times of the year, the area may only be accessible on horseback).
Aquatic Birdwatching at Laguna El Juncal: Explore the tranquil Laguna El Juncal, the Pichún Stream, and nearby lagoons, where you can observe a variety of aquatic bird species. This area is perfect for spotting ducks, geese, and other waterfowl in their natural habitat.
