Juan Ignacio (Juanchi) is another one of our local guides, having grown up in Esquel. He brings his good knowledge of the region and local waters to his guiding with El Encuentro. Among his other skills, Juanchi is a spey caster and loves to share that skill with all and any of our clients. It’s a great skill to bring to our Patagonia waters.

In his free time, Juanchi heads out fly fishing with his friends, rides his mountain bike, and goes skiing when the snow flies. He also enjoys hiking with his wife and young daughter and tying flies.
